D'oh! Been waiting for a new Jag, and when we get one it's an Ito :-({|= Shame it's not very good as the Kingcobra showed some vast improvments and some hope for his future models.

Oh well, maybe the old Alphasim will be available sometime...

16 Squadron display scheme coming along nicely. Though he really shouldn't save his textures in 8 bit.

Seems that it altered the shade of black, too, so I'll have to mix and match it on the different bitmaps.

Still quite a bit to do!

I take it that's the AP Designs Jag. IMO, the visual model is pretty awful, with the same plastic kind of look as this one, maybe more so. The textures are incorrect, too, with bad mapping, not allowing 100% realistic repaints. And don't get me started on the flight dynamics!

Hi Tweek. The flight model was awful... Can't remember much of the rest of it, although I THOUGHT it was OK..... LOL

The Alpha one I use now is grand... payware though, and I only use it for AI.

I'm no expert but shapewise the Jag above looks about right... certainly better than the AP one if memory serves  Obviously we have the trademark Ito inflatable ailerons and rudder, but other than that...

...doesnt look so awful to me. I think we're just spoiled on here. I have a few non Brit aircraft that dont match up in quality and detail to the latest RP and DG releases, but you just have to live with that.

Rick, I've emailed him or at least attempted to on several occasions but never got an answer.

Ah, bless 'im! Ploughs his only lonely little furrow and, every now and then, produces a few unpolished gems; just a shame this isn't one of them.

There was some talk at Alphasim recently about the possibility of a new Jaguar being made, it all sounded quite positive. Mind you, call me cynical, but it seems a good way to get an Ito made is to start a strong rumour over at Alphasim.
