1) Spitfire - absolutely classic, beautiful shape, lovely sound. What more could you want?
2) Concorde - again, a classic if ever there was one.
3) Hawker Hunter - best looking jet fighter IMHO
but there are so many others...

As far as classic aesthetics go, you can't argue with DaveG's choice. Spot on there, Dave
But me, I'm a civil jetliner sort of guy and my favourites are:
1. Vickers Standard VC10
2. Airbus A340-600
3. Boeing 737-900
But for flying in:
1. Vickers VC10
2. Boeing 747-400
3. Anything not Russian with
at least 4 engines

Why the standard VC10 over the Super Ian? Fewer pax to serve?
Personally I prefer the Standard too, but I most seem to prefer the super. I think the super was the nicer to fly so I have heard.

In no particular order,
- VC-10, of any flavour, one of the nicest flights I've ever been on.
- Spitfire (of course), as it started my interest in aviation (on holiday near Duxford when they were filming the Battle of Britain film).
- English Electric Lightning, as I'm old enough to remember 'those' takeoffs at Biggin Hill airshows!!

This is a tough one, so many that I love it's hard to pick.
At the moment i'd say:
BAC 1-11
Concorde
Merlin
Could go on forever though...
I know the Merlin's not a classic but it's got something about it I just love. RN version especially.
