These photo's also remind me of my trip to Oshkosh made in 1999 whilst I was living/flying sailplanes in British Columbia.
A magnificent flight and experience made in my friends Cessna 182 -packed full of incidents and fun-including being refused entry to the US, passing the reporting point for the Oshkosh circuit with 5 seconds to spare before they started the afternoon airshow, flying the 182 like a sailplane folowing great cloudstreets in Saskatchewan which allowed us to increase cruise speed by 10% and save feul by 33%, flying back throught the Crowsnest pass with a 200 foot cloudbase into clear blue skies.
Definately a great way to see the country.
Me to Jonesey, I would love to fly a flex wing. As I already have the PPL, it's just a matter of a conversion, but I just don't have the funds.jonesey2k wrote:Imagine doing a trip like that in a flex-wing microlight![]()
I keep meaning to get lessons!
Onwards and Upwards!!!!!!!!

Jetty!
If God had of meant us to fly, he would have given us wings! He did, it's called an aeroplane!
