Vulcan to the Sky Screenshot Contest Top 10 Announced

Post by Neil Carroll »

Please visit the Vulcan to the Sky Trust and give them some support. This contest is all about helping them get a Vulcan flying again. If you have visited already, visit again

The 1O pictures selected to go through to final judging at this years Royal International Air Tattoo are, in no particular order:

Stormbringer by John
Nuclear Scramble by JGplanes
Reveille by Brett10
Finals by Brett10
Vulcan High by LW Jug
Gloomy Finals by John
4 Minute Warning by John
Early Days by Yogi
Ever Skyward by Pernik
Tin Triangle by JGplanes

and can be viewed here

Congratulations to all the finalists. Your pictures have been printed by Ionaca - printers for Ronald Wong and others - and will be mounted prior to being displayed in the Patrons Pavilion. I will be erecting the display on Wednesday 13th July.

The winners will be judged at RIAT and I will give you details of the judges once confirmed. Photographs of the display will be taken prior to and during the Air Tattoo itself.

If you entered but where not selected please do not be disheartened, there were many great pictures entered and you made selecting a top 10 a real pain

Have your screenshots judged by premier Aviation Artists and displayed permanently on display at the Clarence Kelly Johnson Memorial, details at http://www.screenshotart.com

For me theres one out of those that stands well above the others but if you're anything to do with judging them I suppose I should keep :-#

Well they've all obviously been photoshopped, some more heavily than others, all look great at thumbnail size but to me only one still looks sharp, and more importantly, convincing and eyecatching at the full size. Theres a couple that look good at full size but one where the photoshopping has been done so carefully that the whole effect works (for me) and its harder to achieve (IMHO) than some of the effects in the simpler images.

I'm still not saying which one it is though :-#
