Here are a few pictures from my last weekend road trip through Yosemite and on to Mono Lake and Bodie.
The black stuff on the ground is a mass of alkaline flys, fortunatly they are not interested in humans.
And the white columns are called 'Tufa'
Me, we did not spend too much time in Yosemite valley as it was very hot and crowded.

Wow, how long has that town been empty? Looks like a ghost town. Noticed they had petrol pumps, so I guess it's not been empty since the wild west days.
