its been a while since there has been any talk of whats happening in relation to the Emerald 748's. I know the company has gone down the tubes but doe's anyone actually know whats happening to the 748's and ATP's?
I can't seem to find any news on the subject and was rather curious to know as to what lies in store for them. Hope they aint getting the chop! :crying:

I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.
Final decision to be made tomorrow (Monday) anything that they don't want will be heading for the scrapheap, and if they loose or back out of the bidding then I think a similar fate awaits.
From what I have heard from a few ex staff the contract is basically "all or nothing" requiring the purchasers to take on pretty much everything from the Emerald assets. Anything not taken on goes in the proverbial bin.
A little bit slow is the old grapevine at the moment.
It seems that nobody wanted to take on the operational assets (aircraft and airside vehicles) all others have been accounted for or excluded (buildings and a certain luxury car :huf: )
Contract is going to be broken up and tendered off, such as the mail runs etc all given out to whoever can provide the cheapest quote.
Aircraft no longer included in the contracts - assume that they are off for scrap.
Nothing appears to have been officially announced yet... even though it should have been...perhaps there is more than is commonly known. But that may just be wishful thinking!
Presumably the Sheds and Wigwams will not be scrapped? Commercially, I could understand the Budgies going though. Had a word with Neil at MAN AVP as to my mind that'd be a good location to preserve a Budgie but what with the trouble we're having getting the Trident rebuilt, I very much doubt they'd want a budgie. Hopefully one will get preserved somewhere, as AFAIK, theres not one in a museum at the mo and it must rank as one of our alltime best sellers?
