Powerboating Photographs

Post by Callum »

Hey y'all.

Wasn't too sure where to post this, but meh...

I've just scanned in some old photos from November 04 on my level 1 and level 2 powerboat course... funny thing is i'm now working for them doing exactly the same :P

We've got a new fleet now with a couple of Ocean Pro's replacing these old slow birds. Flat out the Tornado (the photoship) would do a mere 33 knots, to a more exhilerating 50 on the OPs we have now.

On with the photos.

A tight turn, with the Airborne in the background... since we had a deeper cut hull, we could outperform her, even though she had a 90HP engine, and we had a 70..

After a hard weekend's work, resting at their berths awaiting putting on the trolleys and put in the boathouse.

Recovering the Tornado after a great two days! I'm in the middle :P Yes... I was very young... too young :P

Hope you enjoyed them.

Very nice!

I have just bought my second boat - finally got one with an inboard. Its a 70's Fletcher 19 foot. Got more dials than a Lancaster ;) Love it. So I'm thinking its about time to do the Powerboat 1's and 2's.

However I rang up the insurance company last week to see how much my premium would come down by..... its 50p.... yes thats 50p less per year...not fifty pounds... fifty PENCE... good incentive to all those idiots who really could do with the course eh?

Callum,

Haven't had her in the water yet, she is currently at the Yard having an overhaul before she gets a pounding in the sea. I'll get pics when she is back.

where are you based?
