I'm Sorry it's not British!

Post by amo »

Was needing to produce something different tonight instead of A320 liveries so used my 737-200 nose to produce a 727-200.
Were the only UK airlines too fly them Dan Air & Sabre?

I'll promise to do something British soon.
Cheers (or should I be saying have a nice day!!!)

Very rare sitings here in Scotland in 70s & 80s.
All I can remember is Icelandair/Loftleider srs 100s at GLA and The occasional Air France 727 when the 5 nations was on at EDI.

Iclandair one would have been TF-FIE ? AFAIK only 727s operated here were DAN Air and Sabre, half of which later became Cougar when the previous MD retained the 727 operation and the new 737-800s became Excel.

Sabre 727s:

G-BNNI "Lady Patricia" - ex-DAN
G-BPND - ex-DAN
G-OPMN (Super 27)
There was a second Super 27 supposed to be being delivered about the time of Sabre per se ceasing to be but I cant find any record of that now.
