Interesting one Garry.
I see that the registration was moved on that one. The red square Viscounts were real sods to read with the reg in that small black bit at the top of the fin.
Vanguards were so much easier - bigger bit of black at the top, so bigger letters

The CAA told them to make it bigger
They tried two things
Some had the reg on the fin as here and other had it in black on the fuse in the same place and style as the later flying Jack.
Cambrian went to a white reg on the cheatline.
I remember trying to read the last two on the nose wheel door as it was bigger! :shock:
