
Chippie in th' Smog!!

Call that smog? Eeeh! lass tha's not seen real smog. When I was nowt but a lad we 'ad smog tha' could knit, it kept us warm in t'winter. Afore t'days of livin' in a shoebox in t'middle of t'rowed, when father used to beat us t'sleep wit' a broken milk bottle. EEEh tha has'nt lived tha know's. Hmmm tell that to t'kids t'day an they'll never beleive you

Don't know about uphill both ways but...
About a mile from where I live is a farm strip that runs down quite a slope (wouldn't work in FS9!!!) Normally the only traffic we see is the occasional microlight.
A couple of weeks ago I was driving by on the road that cuts across the foot of the strip and two chippies came off the hill in quick succession; practically parted my hair!!
It must be a pretty challenging landing but it was obviously equally exciting getting off, they didn't seem that high when they crossed the road.
Great to see them though. I've tried the landing and take off in FS9 with VFR scenery (you can just make the strip out) and the VFR Mesh.
I'll try and post a piccy tomorrow....
