I'm assuming its the TNT 737 from the other day, in which case it would be the landing gear thats missing, but I'm ather alarmed at the fact it appears I can see the spars, is that right? :shock: :think:

S'right Toby, on most all modern jets these days the area behind the rear spar is all falsework and flap shrouds.

So forgive my stupidity here, but looking at that substantial damage and the age of the aircraft. Would it be classed as a write-off or will she fly again for Congo Airlines or something?

Well that all depends on the insurance companies,whether the plane is leased or owned etc etc, and Boeing's recommendations as type certificate holder.
