Today in little ole' Midlothian, TX (56k warning)

Took a trip today down to Midlothian, TX (about 20 miles SSW of Lancaster and 40 miles S of Dallas), for a Pancake Breakfast fly-in that is held annually. This year there weren't any British aircraft (which have appeared in the past) but several vintage aircraft, incluing the one I was flying the support aircraft for did show up.

Also at the fly-in was one of the Augusta A109E Power II's from DFW's primary Medivac service, CareFlite

I put them up mainly because they are vintage and most were operated by the Brits during one time or another.

Some great classic aircraft there. Well, apart from the helicopter at the end...thats not old enough to be classic yet. :smile:

Actually, thinking about it... other than the Bell 47 and the Huey, are there any helicopters that can be considered classic ?

The HH-3, CH-34, CH-43, among others can be considered classic as all served during Korea and Vietnam and were all retired from frontline service by 1980 although they did have unnaturally long lives considering some of their contemporaries. :smile:
