Yak 52
Hi all,
I purchaced a new Yak 52 by Vitali from simmarket at the weekend.
Quite pleased with it actually. It only comes with one livery, but you get a choice of front or rear VCs or 2d only. External model is very good as are the cockpits, and it's good fun to fly. 17 euros is the damage. Some of you might wish to wander over and have a look. If anyone's interested I'll try and post some screenies once I've worked out how.
regards Graham

No translation, it's all in Russian, which is fair enough for a Russian plane. The manual is really quite short though, as there's not much to say. To get in the air I used my usual approach to Russian planes of turning on every switch (we'll worry about the correct order later!!!).
This works fine , although in the VC (on my set up) the starter boutton requires multiple rapid clicking (not unusal) or just assign a starter button key. Oh an don't forget to turn on the pneumatics by clicking on the large knob down by your left hand virtual buttock!!. haven't found the light switches yet, so still using 'L' key. (But I'm having so much fun flying the gorgeous little thing, that I haven't really searched yet.)
I highly recommend it. For 17 euros it's a blast.

Thanks very much for the HU, much appreciated.
Have just had a look at the 52 and am seriously thinking about buying one, but as dont have the net on my flightsim PC, would this hinder my purchase as I know some aeroplanes have to be installed with a net connection (see that its available on CD too though).
Been looking for a decent 'replica' for sometime now and hopefully this will fit the bill. Was lucky enough to have had a number of flights in the Intrepid Aviation example (RA9111505) in the 1990s and another painted in Titan Airways colours (LY-ALT).

Hi Martin,
Installation wise, it was just a case of download and install. Looking back at my simmarket account, there is not even a keycode required, so I see no reason why you can't just transfer the downloaded file to your Flight sim PC. During my install my firewall never suggested anything was trying to connect to the net.(And I certainly like to think it would have done!!!).
Hope this helps.
Best regards

Phew!!.....There's always that slight element of relief when you recommend something and the recommendee likes it!!!
I recommended Windows Me to a friend of mine many years ago......he eventually spoke to me again. (Mind you, I still maintain the 'Jungle' theme was a laugh!)
Glad you're having fun.
