Great Vintage Flying Weekend

Post by Tom Everitt AFG »

Anyone going?

It's being held at Keevil this year and, fingers crossed, the weather will be a bit dryer than last year! We'll be there on Saturday with Devon and Pembroke, so if you are in the area, pop over and say hello!

Would it be possible for you to bring some aircraft up to Scotland?

I'm going. Original plan was to go tomorrow, but weather has put an end to that. Saturday afternoon looks promising and Sunday the best day of the weekend. Think have checked every forecasting system that there is over the last few days, in order to plan for the weekend.

As to transport in getting there, havent quite worked that out, but will be either an Auster 9 (what else), the Broussard or a Auster 6.

See you all there.

The Broussard would sound nicer and go well with the Pembroke. Radials always sound a little nicer  Good luck with the met!

Tom, will there be any in the flying display at Kemble Air Day this year? - In particular, I'm thinking Canberra, Rapide.

Hi Chris,

We have Meteor and Venom displaying at Kemble this year. The Twin Pin will be there as static.

We got as far as Kemble before we decided discretion was the better part of valour, and put down there. By the time the cloudbase had lifted it was too late to make it down there, so we headed home. A real shame considering last years similar conditions.

Tom.
