Yes I know the one you mean Jonesey. I got it from the Flightone website I think. Its freeware and allows you to go backwards, forwards, sideways etc..Not bad but moves really slowly. Thats my only gripe. Not bad for nowt thou'jonesey2k wrote:I downloaded a nifty litle tool (I cant remember what its called & where I got it from) but it allows you to pan around the VC by clicking the mouse wheel.
Not as good as track IR but better then the hat switch. Also allows movement inside the VC well beyond the default viewpoint keyboard hotkeys.
2D or not 2D that is the question..

I was wondering if first you might remember the file name
and maybe if the cfg file can be edited like the MSFS, VC cfg.
file where the rate of head turn can be speed up or slowed

Hi Joe,
I posted a link to it yonks ago but can't remember the name now. However, get yourself onto the Flight1 website and then go to the ATR section. You'll find the file there with various fixes and patches
Here's a link for you.. http://atr.flight1.net/atr_downloads.asp

Old sailors never die.. they just smell that way!
There you go Joe. It was Dave B who kindly gave me the link to it some time ago. I am not sure about tweaking it though as anything like that usually goes beyond me. Its an interesting point though matey. I wonder whether one of the tech-heads on here could have a look at the config to speed up the movement of the 'pan-around'. :think:airboatr wrote:Hello EddieVEGAS wrote:Yes I know the one you mean Jonesey. I enjoy the 2D panel for realism however, the VC for the BAC1-11 is nothing short of brilliant and where framerates allow during flight I always switch to the VC. :dance: :dance:
Equally the VC allows you the opportunity of taking up the co-pilots position if you so wish but unfortunately you can't do the same with the 2D cockpit.

FS9.CFG File look for the heading [CONTROLS]
[CONTROLS]
KBDAIL=64
KBDELEV=64
KBDRUD=64
PAN_RATE=400 Change this to 600 or 800
800 is better!!

thank you, kind gentlemen
I shall have a look see...
hopefully this will work on my x52 mouse on my throttle.
The top hat has a deficency as far as I'm concerned as it has
8 positions of movement giving me a jerky movment trying to get back to center.
Sounds like this little file will give me the smooth motion like that of the head tracker
