One of the great things about moving is the way you come across old photos.
These are some of the ones taken by my father between 1963-67. A trip to Heathrow (Queens Building roof terrace) was an annual summer holiday treat for me.
Tridents are G-ARPD and PJ (on first glance I thought it was the infamous G-ARPI involved in the Staines disaster). See the comments posted here http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/witn ... 001756.stm
The Buccs are a FAA display at Farnborough, I think.
Nice piccies Trev. It's brought home to me how much things have really changed; living under the Heathrow & Gatwick flightpaths, we used to have a real variety flying over, including absolute oodles of props (presumable Budgies and Britannias) - these days it all jets, the only 'propellor' noise you here is the local constabulary taking their eggbeater out to chase another miscreant.
Excuse me for being thick..but isn't that a bit dangerous?..
..trying to hang on to an arrestor hook with a refuelling probe...? :huf:
