Hi Al,

It's not a light source as I sit with my back almost against a wall. My toyroom is like an old railway carriage (maybe 7ftx12ft) and I'm situated longway's.. about halfway down. My chair is probably a little over 4ft away from the sensor so I doubt it's too close either. A chair that doesn't swivel is not a proposition here as to have one, I'd not be able to get in or out if you see what I mean. I don't want to be seen to be dragging my heals but all these darned keystrokes tend to 'almost' defeat the object a bit so I fight them whenever possible  Once I have myself in the right position, it all works pretty well. Posture and position

I had a whizz in the Gnat yesterday as well as the DSB Hawks but the biggest improvement I've seen in fast jets is with the Lago Tornado.. vis-wise that is. They're all just a bit too quick for me these days

Ding..

Btw Garry.. the B17 Sally B baseball hat..

I actually bought this off the Sally B some years ago as part of the proceeds go toward the real aircraft. Sally B may be American but she deserves to be kept airworthy so I was happy to make this contribution.. as well as all the others I've made over the years

I never do anything without a reason and never buy stuff like this for the sake of it

Only pulling the proverbial

It is a worthy cause and of course the B-17 is a major part of British Aviation history.

I wondered how long it would be before there was mention of 'The hat'

I'm sure whatever you do to that hat it will suit you down to the ground

It might fit Jetty.. it might though the actual design and shape of it makes a baseball cap the obvious choice

Garry.. I knew you were pulling my proverbial over the B-17 hat mate  I will put my hand high up into the air and confess that it is not my favourite aircraft of all time but other than Pink Lady, its only one of two airworthy examples on this side of the pond and I'd hate to see it go. Having been onboard her a couple of times (sadly.. not flying), she is absolutely immaculate and a credit to the team that keep her flying. I wish I could donate more but being perpetually skint.. a few quid over the top for a baseball cap is about my limit.

Thats good though Dave

Just think if a few thousand people just bought baseball caps that would be great.

These thing take vast amounts of money but to get a large donation is difficult especially now when you might have to paint it in a sponsor livery.

But Joe public with his three quid donation will save the day.

So as they say every little helps

And so Mr B. You've had a couple of days with the TrackIR 4 to tweak and perfect - any further thoughts or changes of mind??? Let us all know how you are getting on and I might let you know what I think of my new Saitek X-52 Flight Control System...

Al

How much does TrackIR 4 cost and in your opinion is it value for money or just a gimmick?

It's one of those things........
first you justify the cost, buy it, drool over the new unopend
box when you get it home. rip the computer desk apart to get to the back of the CPU, install the thing and :curse:
till it works the way You what it to. play around with it some more,
 Question the 179.00 USD you spent,.. to have a head ache
wake up the next day, jump in the captians seat
make a few more adjustment
start to really love it and then not leave the house for the next two weeks eating cold pies and soggy chips
And Then..........................

Dare anyone to Pry it from your COLD DEAD FINGERS
:gun: :axe:
BTW … ever come to the realization …
That a justification is better than sex?

Ever go a day, ......with out making at least one justification?
