Well, with the recent number of 'New Member' threads, i thought i would start an idea seen on another forum, called the introductions thread.
Each member (can be new, or old) posts a little about themselves, what they do, hobbies etc, much like a mini profile.
Lets see if the idea works, if thats okay with the Mod's. Maybe if it does work, it could become a 'sticky' with a "New members post here" kind of thing.
Just 1 rule though, no comments on other people, just an introduction about yourself. If you want more information about another, PM them. It just makes the thread easier to follow.
Any hew, about me...
My name is Fred, and im 17 years of age. First baught flightsim with version 9, on its release date (1st Aug 03), and it sparked a life changing obsession. Before that time, i had always wanted to get into automotive design, but FS introduced me to a new world, and almost all of my (free) time now gets dedicated to it. I know my way around the sim like the back of my hand, and there is not much regarding 3rd part add-ons and the base FS (what it does rather than how it does) that i cant awnser. Authough im not too polished in my actual Computer knowledge.
The time that is not spent in FS, is spent either at my home, in Winslow, Buckinghamshire (nr Milton Keynes) or at college in Amersham, where i study Media and Communications, as part of a Journalisim Package. Authough this seems like a far cry form my new life-ambition, of Commercial Pilot, it is something to fall back on, and also creates a new side-hobby of review/article writing. I have only written a few at the moment, which were published on http://www.mutleyshangar.com but i hope to write many more, not only for websites, but for magazines too.
I have been around here for a long time, and actually signed up before a few of the current Mod's did. My first post was a question about DM's 707, and after that i went quiet. But for a long time i just hovered, unaware that i was even registered. Soon after i came back, and im now pretty regular. The nickname 'mulletman' came from my secondary school, where i grew my hair, and it didnt go according to plan. Lets not say any more on that subject.
Anyway, lets see if this works, the post doesnt have to be as long as that, it could be, 'hi, i like FS' and that be that, but its an intro none the less.
