WOW

Most R/C don't look quite right

But these are the biz

You could really think that is a Comet flying there

Thanks for that Toby

The closest you'll get to seeing a Javelin in the air, I can tell you that!

Amazing

Looks like he made a real one but thought those inches on the plan were centimetres!

They look great, but how do they sound? Looked like at least one was ducted-fan powered which spoils the fun because it sounds wrong. Turbines keep coming down in price, I hope that more and more of these DF birds get coverted to turbine. Makes it sound much better when you hear the engines spin up (either via motor or air) and ignite like the real thing. I saw a video somewhere of a guy who'd managed to make his airplane engine starts look like it was using a cartridge starter when it started when in fact it was using compressed nitrogen. The sound was awsome, the rushing air, the blowing black smoke, and the howl of the engine as the ignition kicked in.

Are these not gas-turbine powered? (usually built from turbochargers) In which case, obviously they dont sound "just like the real thing" (mainly due to the small size and much higher rpm of the spool, but they dont sound unpleasant
