(Made a quick edit to add in about my first experience with Joe's Sea Fury in the first post).

The Gold racers are awsome airplanes, but highly modified. I unfortunately think many of them will be leaving the circuit in the next 5-10 years because Merlin and Griffon parts are getting very difficult to find and with as much stress as they put on the engines, they end up blowing a few every year so the supplies will eventually run out and we'll probably lose some of the greatest Reno racers of all time.

I thought that Sea Furys were pulled along by a Centaurus or some American job? :dunno:

Best wishes

It's Centaurus for the Sea Fury as far as I know.

The Hercules I wouldn't think powerful enough

There is still an impressive collection at Cosford though.

You are correct, it is a Centaurus. I am not as up-to-speed on British pistons as I tend to be with US designs.
