The carrier looks like it is the freeware Ark available on AllNodes

One is led to believe that the carrier shown in the picture is the FS Shipyards Freeware Ark Royal, or a variation there of.

One can't complain when given a choice, I know which way I shall be going but each to their own of course!

Alex, TBH i follow your line of view, i find alphasims aircraft a bit high on FR as IRIS are not, for instance AS's flanker and f-22 sets kill me but any of the latest IRIS releases dont kill me.

Just thought i would add my views.

Odd but a lot depends on pc spec and drivers. I don't have any particular problems with FR on Alphasim or Iris models but.. and for the sake of Joe Public who doesn't read the forums.. the Iris AI Tornado shouldn't be listed as AI. UKMIL rightly pointed out that for an AI model to be 'just that', it needs to be low poly.. very low poly. Up to 2000 is about the max to be effective in numbers and yet the Iris AI Tornado has a higher count than the 'full' version
UKMIL was slated for saying as much on the IRIS forum (and wrongly so) and the reasons given were that it is an MP model.. not AI, as such

It is worth adding that I have no affiliation with Alphasim, Iris or UKMIL other than that I'm a customer of the first two and a member of the third (as in, I joined the club). I understand company loyalty (for what it's worth) and will defend what is produced here whenever and wherever necessary even though there is no financial benefit in doing so.

Perspective

tis true Dave, the AI tornado should be listed as Multiplayer, and not ai. the reason it is MP, is it gets rid of the ladders in flight which you see if you use the full version. the only problem is if you fly the MP version online, yes others see you correctly, but you loose some functionality of the aircraft as they removed some of the programming, but somehow ended up with a larger polly version.

But they seem to be dragging their heels a bit, so if IRIS release theirs first, so be it - can't wait...
Just to go back a few posts. The reason for the apparent delay on the third Alphasim Phantom set is the fact that FSDSman went back to real life for 12 months. Something we all need to do occasionally. But it was in fact started over 12 months ago.
