Getting back to the subject in hand - I am looking forward with much abated anticipation at the IRIS F-4; when Alphasim mentioned the fact that they too would be producing a British F-4 I thought - YES!! But they seem to be dragging their heels a bit, so if IRIS release theirs first, so be it - can't wait...

you are right DaveB, i only get on here about once a week, and I in no way condone any comments posted by any other individual. they are their own comments and not the comment of the UKMIL name. Ben is entitled to his own oppinion on anything, and that I cant, and will not interfere with. Freedom of speech is a right, but we do not have to agree.

Tks DC

I'm not sure what's got Ben woundup but embassador's like that you can do without. There comes a time, as you have so rightly stated in the past, when things have to be underlined and left alone. We're Ben not flying the UKMIL flag, his comment would have been ignored (it may ultimately be correct but we'll have to wait and see!) but, as he is flying the UKMIL flag.. it brings obvious conclusions.. regardless of how innocent the comment was made.

As for the other parties concerned, drop it :-$

Getting back to the Phantom

Post by Motormouse »

In their later days, it was only the dual control 'twin stickers'
that retained the left side quarterlight window between pilot and nav
cockpit.

In the others it was replaced by a solid bit of aluminum with a mounting for a forward looking periscope

another two piccy's from my days in a blue suit.

Top, twin sticker, XT910
Bottom, XV408

I notice the army style overalls had started creeping in by then, Pete.
