Slight Summer Sadness
In the Northern hemisphere we’ve just had the summer solstice. Am I alone in feeling just a bit sad at the passing of the longest day?
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!
Re: Slight Summer Sadness
It seems to have come really quickly this year Eric, and the general mood everywhere seems to be quite flat. Although Cape Verde did bring joy in the World Cup last night.
Ben.

I always feel sad with the passing of the longest day too. I know that the frigid Canadian winter is coming back (albeit slowly) so you have to make the most of every day between now and November (in this part of Canada we can get some of our worst snows in mid/late November believe it or not).
On the flip side the Winter Solstice always makes me feel happy as summer is on it's way back. I celebrate Yuletide in December and not the usual garbage to a fake deity.

Thanks for that Joe, I feel so much better now apart from the fact that I don’t have a chimney so I don’t get any prezziesCheer up Eric.
Just a few weeks past the shortest day of the year. Santa will be coming down the chimney and leave you presents.
