25-05-26 Three Musketeers battled their way through this one, and I think they are united in their distaste for me over it.
All submissions identified it as US Navy, including not listed below.
All agreed that it was a De Havilland design, and appeared to be a 4B. Can't deny that. The external appearance, apart from switching the pilot's cockpit and fuel tank, was identical for practical purposes. The 4B had many sub-variants, eventuating in the 4M with its own sub variants.
All 3 knew the power plant to be Liberty.
Boeing appears to have been the main factory involved, making more variants using their own numbers.
Boeing made 30 for the US Navy, giving the designation Boeing/De Havilland O2B-1.
I apologise for picking such a hard one, but you Spotters often find those that never even passed prototype.
