Having a Great time in FS2020!

Post by Dyl Roberts »

Good evening All and Happy Easter :)

I'm still here and having an absolute blast flying about in my military aircraft fleet

No plans to move to FS2024 at all yet to be honest!

Here's a few photos from my large collection of screenshots.......lol!

Great pictures, Dyl. Quite a selection of military hardware you have there. MSFS2020 really shines, and after another installation catastrophe with FS24, I've gone back to the older sim for now. Haven't the patience to rectify all of it at the moment, and Captain Sim's He-III is proving to be very enjoyable in FS20. Happy Easter to you too.

Sorry to read that you've had more issues with FS24 mate :| It seems it's very hit and miss as to how people get on with it! Glad you're having a good time flying the He-III about

Thanks, Dyl; FS2024 has been a real pain lately. For no apparent reason, it started freezing up on loading, leaving the mouse ineffective. The only way out was using task manager. Eventually I had to delete absolutely everything, both in Steam apps, and elsewhere, and now all my control assignments have gone, and Tobii eye tracker no longer works. I'm going to wait until SU2 is released before attempting to sort things out.

I do recommend the Heinkel in FS20 - it flies beautifully, and very good in VR, so I am told. It's weirdly immersive flying up the Thames estuary towards London's docklands. :worried:

Thanks for answers.

Does your MS2020 run well using 12 GB video ram?? And is 1 GB SSD drive enough for use of MS2020??

Aharon

That sound like a total nightmare!

I had a go at setting up and using VR yesterday - I felt sick as anything after 10 mins using it. Back to Track IR 5 for me!

I might give that a go soon

No worries!

FS2020 runs smooth as silk with everything pretty much maxed out. My drives are x2 1TB - although I'm still careful with how much I have on my C drive. I often move aircraft/scenery in and out of community from my D drive to save space and suit what I fly.
