Installing into MS2024

Post by Nigel H-J »

Have been wandering I have Just Flight and other Aircraft and wonder if the installers have been updated as it appears the Community Folder will no longer exist in the new sim.

Does any-one know?

Regards
Nigel.

Where did you read that there would no longer be a Community folder in FS24, Nigel ? Everything I've read, from add-on developers to MS/Asobo themselves, confirms there will be one.

I think this stems from the fact that default aircraft, and those bought at the in-game Marketplace, are all going to be streamed as and when needed. Add-on aircraft bought outside the sim, e.g Just Flight or PMDG's own shop, or Simmarket, Orbx etc, will still be installed into a Community folder as before. Add-On Linker is being prepared so that it can handle both sims - and that is one of the most vital utilities of all, in my view. :)

That explains it, thanks Paul. Just hope it is easy as ABC.

Quick heads up, make sure you run your Windows Store updates first tomorrow Nigel. there is a new version of 2024 just been released in the last hour or so, build 1.1.9.0 and a gaming services update from earlier in the week.

I'm not sure if something has changed since last nights update but "Shift + C" get me into the cockpit of the Hunter now if starting from a parking spot.

Just too the 330 up for a spin. The hills up in Northumberland have a bit of snow on. Looks pretty good.
