I'm still not in. My Steam dashboard shows me as having played for 5.7 hours and I'm still not past the loading screen.

I get there's often launch day problems but I brought the Premium Deluxe version. For £129.99 I expect to be at least able to see the main menu after nearly 6 hours. Especially when we're not talking a small independent company running the infrastructure but one of the largest computing companies in the world!

Getting disappointed now.

I’m in work, but from what I’ve read they are still plodding away at it. It seems to be getting a bit better in that more people seem to be logging in, but nowhere near ready.

A wise man, just tried again tonight and its been sitting at 97% loading for an hour... which admitedly is better than 0% last night for 5 hours, but not much fun.

I pre-ordered FS2024 in September, and I was going to try installing it today. However, after reading the various forums over the last 24 hours and after much consideration, I got a refund from Steam this evening. I know most of the issues are overloaded server related, but even people who've managed to get the sim fully installed are having problems with crashing. The sim needs to mature a little, and the £130 could be better used elsewhere in the run-up to Christmas. I will get it eventually, but only after all the wrinkles have been ironed out - January maybe.

Quick update for anyone interested.

if you have the Windows Store version already installed, go to windows store and check for updates. The FS2024 app has been updated about an hour ago and I have now been able to get to the main menu. Note there is not change in build / version number as far as I can see.

I think the lights will be burning long into the night at Asobo Towers.
