Boeing Boeing Oops - again

Post by AllanL »

In a surprise move, to no-one in particular outside Seattle, "The US National Transportation Safety Board on Monday said more than 40 foreign operators of Boeing 737 airplanes may be using planes with rudder components that may pose safety risks."

"NTSB chair Jennifer Homendy said she was concerned the FAA “did not take this issue more seriously until we issued our urgent safety recommendation report”.

The FAA said it was taking the NTSB recommendations seriously and scheduled to do additional simulator testing in October." To translate, "It's ok - only foreigners flying them thar planes."

Apart from the 737 Max Lawn Dart model issue, two US based 737s crashed in '91 and '94 due to a rudder mal-operation issue. anyone for Airbus?

Boeing shares also fell on Monday.......Don't you love it when engineering businesses are run by corporate accountants.

You have to remember that the shareholders are the ones to be protected above all, otherwise how are the execs going to get their bonuses?

.......and I've been thinking myself "Bo-Oh! Oh!" in regard to the ISS shuttle built by Boeing.
