Thank you guys. Had a really good day yesterday (Sunday), my Step-son brought a load of nice things and mum made one her stupendous cheescakes. My big surprise was a hand carved model Hercules which is stupendous from a man who know next to nothing about aircraft. Today was spent having my eyesight checked after the Bells Palsy - looks like it survived without permanent damage. So good news at last on the med front.

As to the Mosquito Mike, I'm afraid the plastic was so brittle after 40+ years in hot cupboards that a decent model could not be made. So I cut my losses and made the best I could and gifted it to our friend's 7 year old. It is a little 'battle scarred' but nearly in one piece and he is delighted.

Mike,
I must amend my post; the Mossie is still in very good condition along with the 1/24 scale Spitfire. Young man is very careful with both models and is taking great care when he 'flies' them.

I will eventually get a new Mossie kit but, for the moment, I am concentrating in reducing my 1/16 and 1/35 scale armour kits. My main problem is what do I do with a 1/16 scale Tiger 1 when it is made up? I need to clear out a load as we are looking to downsize in the near future.

Problems, nothing but problems.
