Firefighting Plane Crash Greece.

Post by Nigel H-J »

Discretion advised, video shows the moment a firefighting plane crashed after releasing (water)?

You can actually see that the right wing hits a group of trees and a float is seen to be torn from the wing.

Crew did not survive, RIP! :((

Sad loss for their family and colleagues. This seems to be a nearly annual occurrence in Greece. Extremely tough flying conditions, but from a safety point of view, one has to wonder if it's worth the risk because these are nominally competent pilots and yet they keep crashing.

Awful to see, sadly, it happens nearly every year.
