Another Classic Game from years gone by.

From reading John's post of an old combat sim game brought memories back from one that had a large cult following in the 90's.

It first came out as a share-ware game developed by 3D Realms. I purchased the 2nd edition as soon as it came out and was hooked!!

Though the graphics are now old it would be great if it was updated to todays standards. There is a video and it is still being sold by Steam!!

Anyone else of the opinion that games then were simpler & more fun? I cut my military sim teeth on Falcon 3, now we have BMS and DCS but I find them so much more complicated that the fun element is largely gone.

Those games were definitely a lot of fun. Remember 'Wolfenstein 3D'? Hilarious fun! Took me forever to download the shareware version using my 2400 baud modem. Oh, did any of you ever play the text adventure game 'Zork'?

Yes, I played Zork and the original Adventure on my Apple IIe. I also played Star Trek on the mainframe at work.
