During WWII, I understand that an airfield wanted for Maryborough in Queensland, was commenced at Maryborough Victoria
I heard this from a man who served during WWII, and who ran a local printing works post war. I can't find anything on the net to back this up, and sadly, Jack died at 94, 2 years back.
