The Boeing 737-200/300/400/500 fit in that time frame. Interesting.

They were still building the B737-200 15 years ago! That would be 2006. Info I can find shows B737-200 production ceased in 1988, with the 1,095th aircraft built, delivered to Xiamen Airlines.
I liked the B737-200. I flew on many as a kid, with Britannia Airways and loved sitting just behind the wing and watching the clamshell thrust reverser doors operate (and the incredible increase in noise). Sadly, for me the B737 went rapidly downhill with the introduction of the -300 and all subsequent variants.

Sorry, Brian I miss-understood your post. I thought you meant the B737 - 200/300/400/500 would fit in the time frame of being built in the last 15 years.

I was lucky enough to fly LHR -SIN (9V-SKB) and SIN - LHR (9V-SKF), in business class.
I am genuinely envious, Kevin - that great aircraft and Singapore Airlines too! I used to fly quite regularly with SIA, including once on a Boeing 727, and they are my absolute favourite airline.
Singapore airlines were excellent! A fully flat bed, a huge TV screen and excellent food. With a 4 hour stopover before our next flight, I didn't miss the opportunity for 2 or 3 cold beers and use of the showers in the business lounge.
You trump me with a Boeing 727 flight though. The nearest I came was flying back PHX-HOU-LGW. A few days before we flew back, my colleagues boyfriend flew back and I checked what aircraft was operating on the flight we would be taking. There was a Continental 727-200 on stand. When we arrived for our flight they had substituted it with an MD-80. Not too bad, but I'd already flown on a BMA DC-9-14 (BHX - LHR), so the MD-80 wasn't really a new type for me.
