Shalom and greetings all my pals,
Just saw that JustFlight Comet for FSX use is on sale for lousy 11 bucks. My question to all of you is that is it worth the price or should I be better off with freeware Comet offered by CBFS and David Mantaly (spelling)?? Is it worth effort to buy it and learn to fly it for 11 bucks or is it too buggy and I should not waste my time on it and I should be better off spending 11 bucks on other payware airport scenery or aircraft add on for use of FSX??
Regards,
Aharon

Re: Is It Worth The Price?
Hi Aharon,
Can't give you a definitive answer, but anything going for $11 probably isn't going to be that wonderful.
All the same, If it is a dud, you've only lost $11, and you never know, maybe the sound files might be useful
Further, you won't get much scenery for that price, so why not just buy it and see
PS it's Dave Maltby.

David modelled all variants of the comet, including the more obscure ones. In saying that the JF one is about 15 years younger, so you’d expect it was built using the FSX SDK and not the FS9 one.
Ben.

Airspeed and TSR2,
Thanks for kind answers.
Actually I bought terrific FSX airport sceneries for 11 bucks each
Thanks for spelling correction.
I think I will stick with freeware Comet unless somebody tells me I am making big mistake.

Aharon

Re: Is It Worth The Price?
I actually own the JF comet. I got it in 2018 because Dave Maltby's excellent comet is a FS9 model that would not work in P3D4 while the JF's FSX native version might, and it does work, I did about 10 flights last year for the VA.

To be honest its been a long time since I used David's so I don't remember enough to give you an answer. I got the JF model because it would work in a more modern sim.Aharon wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 17:22Are you satisfied?
