I love the B-52 - it's one of the few military aircraft in service today that still interests me. They've been talking about new engines for years, and now it looks like it will happen. She'll be the aircraft your great-grandfather flew, at this rate.

You're right, we keep retiring things before we have the replacement's ready. Nobody else seems to operate this way.
