WWII STENCILS

Post by Airspeed »

Hi All,
I'm using the current foul weather to try some indoor progress on my reproduction Hurricane cockpit.
Does anyone know the size of at least the following stencils that appeared on WWII Allied fighters, please?
"W/T"

"FIRST

BREAK HERE

AID"

"COOLANT MIXTURE
GLYCOL WATER
30% 70%"

I have the rules on squadron codes, A & B camouflage patterns for numerous aircraft, roundels etc, but they don't include the stencils.
I don't actually need "NO STEP" etc from the planes, as I'm only doing the cockpit & canopy section of the fuselage.

Any info on these would be appreciated. :)
Cheers, Mike.

You could try asking the RAF museum,
It will be in an AMI ( air ministry instruction ) leaflet somewhere ( kind of like the Yanks TSO )

Thanks Pete,
I've emailed the RAAF Museum, still haven't turned anything up on the web.
