Looking good, looking large.
Excuse my ignorance "goes to 400"? Is that a larger variant of the CL44?
Thanks! And yes. That is the J model that I'm working on.
"400" is the CL-44's cruising speed in mph. I was just thinking of a creative title. Plus, 400 is also written on the J prototype's tail.
Another reason why I mentioned 400 was because Loftleidir marketed their CL-44s as Rolls-Royce 400s.
Right, thanks for the explanation.
Also found this on Wiki: Loftleiðir was the only passenger operator of the CL-44J, variant of CL-44D4 stretched on request by Canadair. It was the largest passenger aircraft flying over the Atlantic Ocean at that time. Loftleiðir marketed the CL-44J under the name "Rolls-Royce 400 PropJet". This led to the confusion that the CL-44J is sometimes referred to as the Canadair-400. Loftleiðir Icelandic Airlines merged with Air Iceland in 1973 and became today's Icelandair.
Thanks for that Nev, it was big alright.
No doubt about it being an aeroplane, using those methods of boarding and exiting.
btw, on that topic, poor Joe Biden was on a news clip tonight, falling three times going up the boarding stairs.
