Around here a lot of people will clean there windows but leave snow on the tops of their roofs - mainly SUV drivers Driving behind those people when snow comes flying off their car roofs is no fun and can be very dangerous!

As well as lights and registration plates. This also applies to the dark grime that builds up from gritted roads.

While we're having a rant about road users... people who drive with only the day running lights on. Not sure if it applies outside Europe, but all new cars in the UK and Europe have had to have day running lights. Its something the Swedish drivers had for years and is very sensible. Basically there are always light on at the front of the car (a bit like sidelights). They are typically LED based and its proven to make pedestrians more aware of vehicles. They are bright, but the idea is that they draw attention to the vehicle rather than light up the road, so there is no "beam" from them. So we now have a growing number of idiots driving around in the dark with no lights on (other than these day running lights which come on as soon as you start the car). This means there are no lights at all on the rear of the vehicle.
