New Year's Eve Parade

Post by Airspeed »

We usually have a street parade through town.
COVID 19 has put a lid on that.
The council decided to do a virtual parade using a cardboard mock up of the main street and very basic "floats."
They filmed it and put it up on the web.
You're not getting a link to it; it's embarrassingly amatuerish. :$
Cheers, Mike.

Where was Pugh, Pugh, Barney............postman Pat, ........? Quite a good idea, but where are the masks....?
(I didn't listen to it & skipped through at this time of the morning, but it did the publicity well I thought.)

Ummm!! yes, well you did warn me Mike, should have taken more notice of your warning though a bit disappointed they had left out the 'Magic Roundabout' as part of the miniature float procession, Dougal would have taken centre stage!!

TBH Mike, If it's the same for next year, think I will give it a miss if you don't mind!! :S

On the other hand, maybe this is the "Lucky Country" because we don't have "Magic Roundabout", or the Carrot man. :dunno:
I guess if you're familiar with "MR", it may make more sense. BOING?

Guess by that you have never seen the Magic Roundabout then Mike!! Not missing much but it was popular with children last century, as for the boing that was Zebedee and he got around on a spring. Bet you won't last the full 4 minutes and 16 seconds of it.
