George, this was hilarious but so true!! :worried:

Going back to the fifties and early sixties there were very few obese children and parents around, why? Simply because in our days TV was restricted by our parents, when we went to school it was either by bus or walking but you still had a fair way to walk to the bus stop and also wages were nowhere near as they are today. There were no fast food outlets and most meals including school meals were full of veggies to keep us healthy.

Before this Coronavirus hit us we used to go to a hotel for Christmas lunch as well as Boxing Day and one thing I noticed was that some were turning up in jeans and T-shirts!! :wall:

Another point is that during the Fifties and Sixties any-one entering University had made it through sheer hard work and used their qualifications from university to obtain their employment in that field but now many are coming out with degrees that they will never use in a career and also use the time at university to go out and get p*ssed. Believe me, I watched all of them on the mid-week Students Nite out and the week-ends of every week doing just that!! :wall: One student even complained that his time at university with Covid has been ruined all because he could not go out and enjoy himself!!

Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
