The Nutshell Pub in Bury St Edmunds

Post by FlyTexas »

Image

"Measuring just 15 foot by 7 foot, this tiny timber framed, Grade II listed pub can only hold 15 customers at a time. It has been recognized as the smallest pub in Britain by the Guinness Book of World Records and is regarded as Bury St Edmunds biggest tourist attraction.
Be careful not to bump your head on the mummified cat hanging from the ceiling. It was discovered behind the walls during renovations."

Interesting pub. Poor puss. :(

Been in there - Bury isn’t far from here. Nice pint if I remember. They are going to have problems reopening the place if any form of social distancing is still required.

There is one that beats The Nutshell Pub and that is the 'Signal Box' Inn Cleethorpes measuring 8X8 square.

That used to be a regular stop for me when I had two wheels. It was a squeeze when 4 bikers walked in
