New freeware aircraft just released for X plane 11 and it is great to fly. Used to train Aeroflot Pilots it is apparently aerobatic and has 4-5 seats.

All switches and levers are in English so no confusion as to what is what but the ASI is in Km per hour and had to do a bit of converting as on my first flight and attempted landing I was too fast when retracting the flaps resulting in a bent aircraft!!

Grabbed it but yet to work out installation procedures in XP and I have had the thing nearly 1 year..... it's finding the time! Grass needs cutting dear,

Hi Alex, very easy to install, just unzip the product then you will find a folder with the name of the aircraft go into X Plane find the folder for Aircraft (which is at the top) go into that and then there are 2 folders one is Extra Aircraft the other Laminar Research, open Laminar Research Folder and put the aircraft folder in there and away you go.

Yep, 'tis simplicity itself. I really like this Yak; a 'keeper' as them Colonials say.

I've just been trying it out over the Orbx True Earth GB demo. That's the Isle of Wight down there.

Thanks chaps for the quick lesson. Lovely aircraft. Eventually got it started and had a quick 20 mins. Never had it in FSX of rolling backwards on the runway when brakes released because of the slope.

Yep, it is a little corker though when I started dark and cold could not at first get the engine started! Thought I had not primed the fuel enough but then noticed the red switch to the left of the throttle quadrant emergency fuel cut-off, pushed it in and hey presto, engine burst into life.
