You know when.....
You know when you turn on the cold tap, and hot water comes out?
That's just Nature's way of telling you that it's Summer.

You know that feeling when you go to water your yard for the first time in Spring and your basement fills up with water, You realize you failed to winterize your outside faucet.

Re: You know when.....
I'll give it a go for ya if you like:
red = Canadian, blue = British
You know that feeling when you go to water your yard (garden) for the first time in Spring and your basement (cellar) fills up with water, You realize you failed to winterize (ice-proof) your outside faucet (tap).
Hope that helps!
p.s. after 26+ years of living here I am now bilingual and can speak both English and Canadian eh!

No I can't and nor would I want to although I have picked up a bunch of words for things as every time you pick up any item of packaging you always seem to get the French side/end first.
Allegedly the French spoken in the only province/territory in Canada that speaks French (out of 10 provinces and three territories) is barely recognizable to European French people! Apparently Quebec French is like the Pidgin English spoken by natives in Papua New Guinea, i.e. barely recognizable at all.

So very true.

New Brunswick is officially 'Bi" French/English which I find odd as Brunswick is/was a German state/city.
