Fired up my bnox this morning and was presented with an update for Skype. Being a simple soul and half asleep I accepted it.
When my son came on - we have a chat each day whilst he is travelling in to work at Embraer - I could see myself (not a pretty sight) on camera and Mike could hear me, but I couldn't hear him .
Tried to re install but lo and behold - trouble with server - download latest version. I hadn't realised that Microbuggerup were now the owners. Again, something mended before it was broken.

It's been owned by Microsoft for years. I don't think anyone I know has regularly used it for years either. Instead, it's been inflicted on us at work and successive "upgrades" seem to have made it worse. I'm not really sure if the current Skype is really still built on Skype technology or on MS Lync or Windows Messenger code The Skype for business executable name is still lync.exe, suggesting it has more in common with the older MS products.
