The Astana car came round a right-hand bend in the centre of the road and was unable to avoid the traffic island
What the hell was the driver doing? Had he been watching the road ahead there was ample time to avoid the collision, my thoughts are that his attention was distracted or was not looking ahead, may have even turned his head to speak to his passenger. The Marshall also appeared for some reason to ceased waving the yellow flag and just held it in a static position in front of him. Had he kept waving the flag it may just have been enough to catch the drivers/co-drivers attention?
My thoughts anyway.
