The instruments were impossible to read, that's how bad the detail was.
The only option that came up was 1072 etc, no more, no less. It and FSX both identified the unit as what it is, and both gave the single choice.
I've just updated the NVIDIA driver, but I don't expect anything to change.
It weighs a "ton", so I'm not going to hoist it up on the computer table again tonight. Also, when I left it run for half an hour, I saw screen flicker. Asked a TV repairer, and he said unless I'm prepared to spend $400-$500 on it, chuck it out. I can buy a biggish new screen for that, so I don't think the Samsung will be around for long.
