A very attractive aircraft. I believe that some built in the UK pre-WW2 crashed which led to construction being banned in the UK(?). Later I think that the aerodynamic problem was solved and some more modern versions have been built. I wonder if any are still active?

Perhaps that design has now given way completely to the microlight?
