Dave F said "keep it light", I actually had an idea I wanted to bounce off people, maybe it's not so light. Here goes anyway:
Dave loved Brooklands, he loved the Vanguard and he loved flight sim. I noticed in his profile there was a link to a Vanguard website and one of the things on there was a wooden TCA cockpit mockup that someone was restoring. I don't know if this is at Brooklands or even if it were if they'd be interested in using it for such a purpose, but I wondered if would be possible to get a small sim up and running there in memory of Dave? I know they have the Concorde sim and it costs quite a lot to use it. I was thinking along the lines of something much simpler, cheaper and more "accessible".
Any thoughts, anyone? Might not even have to be a whole cockpit, maybe even just a "kiosk" set up like at Tangmere?
How about asking fellow simmers to consider making a donation to the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity. https://www.rnrmc.org.uk/
There are many veterans in the worldwide flightsim community. Maybe they would have a heart toward a charity such as this. It appears that the RNRMC accept online donations from around the world. Just a thought.
