Rest in peace James Stile
Never heard of James Stile? Me neither...until I saw this photo the other day.
http://railpictures.net/photo/620982/
Intrigued by James' tombstone I did a quick Google and found this.

Here's a photo of the Gold Hill, Nevada (far away from his native Devon) that would've been very familiar to James.

Rest in peace James Stile.

Re: Rest in peace James Stile
I looked briefly at the links when you first posted Brian and was left wondering all the things you've just mentioned. James Stile was from Devon and apparently had something to do with gold mining but other than that.. who the hell was he
Equally.. why the hell did you post an RIP for some old Brit that died a million years ago?
Now.. if President Roosevelt or maybe Neil Armstrong was really James Stile from Devon living under an alias.. that would be noteworthy
What say you readers?

Well Brian, I found your post very interesting. Thanks for those links. Looking forward to you next one on Formby
since, when I was around four or so, one of my favourite records was him singing "The Blue Eyed Blonde Next Door" on a 78rpm given to me along with a clockwork gramophone by a great aunt. I still have that record and the gramophone.
