Anyway, the main reason I asked about the PR9 is because, as I say, I'm getting back into it, with a view to doing the RTW trip I've always wanted to do. It has good range and is speedy, so hopefully I can finish the flight before boredom sets in.

It's on our list, not least because Skippy Senior was a looker on 893. Although it's recently come to my attention that most references have the length wrong which means most sets of plans are distorted to fit so a certain amount of research is needed before I can think about starting.You never know.. JF/AH might make it one day. I can only imagine what a barrel of laughs THAT would be!!
They seem to be, essentially all the official publications give one length everything else e.g. Observers Book of Aircraft, most internet sites etc. give one about a foot longer.
